SYNCHRONIZED SWIMMING PROGRAM

The purpose of this five-week program is to teach the sport of Synchronized Swimming. In addition to learning fundamental synchronized movements, swimmers shall engage in dry land and water exercise programs promoting strength, flexibility and endurance, which are necessary skills to the sport.

Synchronized swimming requires average or above swimming skills. Each swimmer will be taught the basics of water ballet with the goal of performing in the synchronized swim show to be announced.

There are daily morning synchronized practices at the Moore Pool and some evening practices, which may be scheduled by the coach. Punctual attendance and participation in the practices is mandatory. The last two weeks of practice are critical to the show. If there are any vacation plans, which will interfere with you attendance, please talk with the coach immediately at the beginning of the season.

The synchronized group will close their season with a show on the evening of July 11th. In addition to parents and friends, the show is open to the public and is very well received. This is an opportunity for the group to demonstrate their accomplishments during their five weeks of practice.

Synchronized swimmers and parents/guardians are part of the Bryan Swim Team Association. Parents/Guardians and swimmers are invited to the Awards Banquet at the close of the season.  Parents/Guardians will also be contacted for donating or working in the concession stands for meets. Support of these projects is vital to the continuation of the various Bryan Swim Team Association programs.

Practice at Moore Park: 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
