GNOAC Swimming Championships will take place on Saturday, July 14th and Sunday, July 15th in Napoleon. Please sign up indicating if your child will be available for one or both days.
When signing up for Champs, please keep in mind, all morning events are preliminary races. If your child qualifies for finals based on his/her placement in the morning events (top 12 finishers), they will swim that same event in the afternoon finals after the afternoon break. This applies to both Saturday and Sunday events. Your child needs to be here in the morning AND afternoon. DO NOT sign up for a specific day if they can not commit to a possible full day of swim.
If you have an 8 & Under swimmer, you sign up for SATURDAY ONLY. 8 & under swimmers will be finished by noon on Saturday and do not have to return for Saturday afternoon or any part of Sunday.
If your swimmer can not attend a certain day, please respond with a “no” on that specific day.
Our focus for the conference meet becomes much more competitive as we put together our finest line-up in order to be competitive and score as many points as possible. Some swimmers might be able to only swim one event due to the numbers, but we must put together the best line-up for this meet. A swim off may be necessary to determine entries (only three per event) or relay spots, but this is rare. Since entries are due at least one week before the meet, and entries are difficult to put together, we need to be notified if anyone will be absent from this meet. Swimmers might be put into none, one, two, three, four, or five events – whatever will score the most points for the team overall. Your child may also swim outside of their age group if the coach feels it is needed to help score points for the team. The coach will put your swimmer where they are needed. We need ALL of the swimmers to get the most points possible, so please plan on being available to swim at this meet. This meet is a huge team effort!
Deadline for Champs Sign Up is TUESDAY, JULY 3rd by NOON! We will NOT take any late entries for this meet.
Attention swim family . . . Family Fun Night will be here before you know it! Family Fun Night is an evening of fun games, good food and team bonding before we head into CHAMPS. Fun Night will be on Thursday, July 12th.
Please click on the link below letting us know if your child(ren) and family will be attending. Please indicate in the section, a list of names of swimmers and divers ONLY who will be attending. The number should indicate everyone in your family that will be at the picnic portion (this can include parents, swimmers/divers and any non swimmer/diver siblings).
Please sign up by July 3rd! Teams will be released on July 5th which will give you an entire week to put together costumes. Family Fun Night theme this year is Rock-n-Roll!
Potluck information will be out soon! Stay Tuned!
